How to Use Image to LEGO Mosaic
- Upload an image — click the drop box, drag a file in, or paste with Ctrl/⌘+V.
- Set studs wide — the number of studs across the mosaic. Plate height (rows) follows the aspect ratio automatically.
- Toggle studs — enable the 3D stud look for a realistic brick preview, or turn it off for flat color blocks.
- Export PNG — save the mosaic image and use the brick usage list to know which colors to gather.
Choosing the right size
A 48×48 baseplate is the most common starting point — it fits a single standard plate and captures enough detail for logos, characters and simple portraits. Smaller sizes (16–32) suit icons and emojis; larger sizes (64–96) work for photos and detailed artwork but need more bricks and build time.
