How to Use Placeholder Image Generator
- Set dimensions โ type a width and height in pixels (32โ4000). The preview updates instantly.
- Pick colors โ choose a background color and a text color with the color pickers.
- Edit the label โ the default text reads

SVG vs. PNG vs. JPG for placeholders
Use SVG when the placeholder will sit in HTML or documentation โ it stays sharp at any size and the file is tiny. Use PNG when you need a real raster bitmap (for example to drop into a design tool that does not accept SVG). Use JPG only when file size matters more than crisp edges; it has no transparency and adds slight compression artifacts, so it is rarely the best choice for flat-color placeholders.
