Upload an image to generate an .ico favicon
How to Use Image to ICO
Upload an image — click the drop box, drag a file in, or paste with Ctrl/⌘+V. PNG with transparency works best.
Pick the icon sizes — 16, 32 and 48 are checked by default and cover most browser tab and shortcut needs; add 64, 128 and 256 for high-DPI and desktop shortcuts. The right panel shows a live preview of each size as it will appear in the .ico.
Set a background (optional) — leave it transparent to keep the original alpha, or fill with white / a custom color so an opaque logo reads on a favicon.
Adjust padding — a few percent of padding keeps the glyph off the edges so it looks balanced at 16 px.
Download the resulting favicon.ico and reference it from your site's <link rel="icon" href="/favicon.ico">.
Which sizes should I include?
The browser picks the best entry from the file, so including more sizes only helps. 16 px is the classic browser tab size; 32 px is the high-DPI tab size; 48 px is used by Windows for taskbar shortcuts; 256 px is shown by Windows for large icon views and by some launchers. A 32 px-only file is fine for a minimal tab favicon; include 16, 32 and 48 for broad compatibility.
